Cardiff Elementry School – Cardiff by the Sea, CA

Following the renovation of the Cardiff Elementary School, Debora Carl Landscape Design donated design services and organized volunteers and growers in the community to create a series of gardens that turned the grounds of the school into a beautiful Learning Landscape. The Learning Landscape features four areas with different themes to stimulate children’s senses, enrich the state science curriculum and introduce children and the community to a variety of plants. The gardens include plants that attract birds and butterflies, native, drought-tolerant plants and a collection of scents and colors to complement the school’s seaside setting and encourage community gardening.
