Cooper Residence – Carlsbad, CA

The goal was to transform this run-of-the-mill tract home façade and garden to mirror the beautifully remodeled contemporary interior. New silver green stucco and charcoal trim provide a simple backdrop for the sand-blasted concrete retaining walls, charcoal slate patio, chiseled black granite helix water feature and sleek pale gray horizontal wood and charcoal metal fencing. A little used grass side yard was transformed into a focal point for nighttime entertaining and a beautiful garden when viewed from inside the house. Anchoring the entrance into this narrow side yard garden is an elevated wood entertainment deck that looks down on the stainless steel fire bowl and the garden beyond.
